It’s getting crowded here.

Recently, Medium’s CEO announced the company surpassed 1 million users.

That means there are tons of new writers flooding this platform. What does that mean for you?

Honestly, it’s becoming increasingly more difficult to stand out and get traction here. The only way to do it is to brush up your writing chops.

The good news is that with a little practice, you can stand out ahead of 99% of other writers who never improve their skills.

I’ve written on this platform for over four years now. I have thousands of followers and I’ve coached dozens of writers.

Today, I want to dig into how to write a post.

The Secret Sauce

The real secret to any successful writer is their systems.

Everyone is different — some like to outline, others like to write as they go. Some like to write their headline last, others need to perfect it before they start.

The system I’m writing about here is the one that has worked for me and other writers I’ve coached. I’m not saying it’s the only system, or that you have to follow it word-for word.
